The Blizzak LM-25 RUN FLAT molds a high-silica content tread compound that remains pliable in cold temperatures to combine winter traction with run-flat durability. This compound is molded into a directional tread design featuring independent blocks and rounded shoulders that combine hydroplaning resistance on wet and slush-covered roads with enhanced handling in cold, dry conditions. Blizzak LM-25 tires feature the Lamellen "edge effect" (multiple biting edges in the tread blocks to help grip snow) to enhance winter traction without resorting to traditional metal studs. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon to blend high-speed durability with uniform ride quality.
