Bridgestone's Turanza T005 is a premium summer tire specifically designed for drivers looking for a sophisticated appearance, but also great handling, durability and grip on dry or wet roads. The first thing that strikes us about a tire is first of all the design of its tread. The asymmetrical tread it displays is organized around 4 central channels of the same width over their entire depth, which not only improves the expulsion of water on wet roads, but is also what makes the strength of this new model. The side grooves have been reworked and feature a unique shape. The curvature of the design accelerate water expulsion and this is especially true when cornering. Bridgestone has also raised the bar by creating a new material called Nano Protech. Obtained by a new industrial tool specially designed for this tire, it guarantees better homogeneity of the rubber, while at the same time limiting the internal heating of the material. The compound of a finer silica gum and better material distribution, gives the Turanza T005 increased grip, while reducing fuel consumption. Often used as Original Equipment (OE) on sophisticated coupes and luxury sedans, they are not recommended for use in freezing temperatures, snow, let alone ice.
