best tire ever handling noise and ride
Wayne Conrad 28-05-2020
Second set of these I've purchased. First set lasted around 80000km even with regular rotation. Decent all around tire for noise and fuel economy.

I haven't purchased these tires but I subscribe to Consumer Reports.Org and these are number one in the all season non performance category with a score of 70% out of 100. For those of you that aren't familiar with CR.Org they do not post advertisements and do not accept fees to advertise any of the products they test and are therefore unbiased with their ratings and recommendations. I did purchase General altimax arctic snow tires a few years ago and it was great on ice and had more traction in my opinion than the highly rated michelin x-ice13 however the Michelin tire outperformed in the fuel efficiency category for me. The altimax had a more aggressive tread so harder on gas but I believe their newer version is more efficient.

I drive and maintain 3 Corollas an '09,'10 and '11. I put a set of RT43's on the 2011 and so far they have given me 80K kms, and are good for at least 10k more. They are not a performance tire, and they can get noisy after 60k (of course given the roads we ride on, I don't know if it the tires). The ride for the first 60k was not quite as good as the Toyo Versados, but the Toyos are done at 60K and cost more. For your dollar, the RT43's are hard to beat.
