Wear seems to be good. Overall traction is NOT that of premium winter tires but still a huge step up from that of all seasons. I doubt I'd buy them again, likely try a different tread pattern in hopes of better ice traction.

I am using maxtrec winters now for the last 8 years, we go often skiing and all I can say is I am impressed with this tires. It is China made and I would rate it with 4 star winter tires. About performance in snow conditions you want fill any differences with tires that cost 3x more, even if you decided to push it a bit they are still good. Fantastic traction straight movement and same when braking. Negative about this tire is there longevity, I am changing them every 2 seasons with a rest profile of about 3 mm. Driving them on dry tarmac during winter/spring transition I would say they are very loud and this is annoying but all in all grate tire for $$$$

After a full season on Maxtrek Trek M7's here's what I can confidently say. They are 90% of premium brand tires at 60% of the cost. Basically, I've had better tires, including Nokian Hakapelita and Bridgestone Blizzaks. The Trek M7's are NOT as good. But they're still leagues better than all seasons and I haven't come close to hitting the ditch or rear ending anyone. I put my winters on late and take them off early, so I'm typically subjected to winter conditions with my all seasons and that's when i have to be extra careful. Drive to the conditions with these and you won't be disappointed. If you choose to drive like an idiot, do us all a favor, spend the extra money please.

I have only had these tires on for a few days and the conditions have been favorable to winter tires (-15 Celcius, to thawing and freezing rain). I bought over sized for my car so Costco wouldn't put them on my car and I've had to remove them a couple of times for service work (new TPMS sensors and balancing). I put the old Nokians back on (5/32 tread) and they were still good but due to being worn they slid around a bit. It was when I put these back on that I realized how good of a value they were, great traction and very nice ride...... but priced almost half of Bridgestone Blizzack or other main stream tires. Traffic lights are fun again! I'll submit another review next year to tell the tale of long term review.

Good tire for the price. Have been using that the past 2 years on my 2012 Fusion and also on 2 work truck 2013 F-150 and i cant complain about them. Good on snow and ice even in snow storms they are really good.

Worked very well on my 2010 Ford Escape 2WD. During the intense winter storm earlier this year in Vancouver, these tires helped tremendously. I was able to drive on the highways that were snowed out, with confidence and ease. I could go in neighborhoods that were heavily snowed in and weren't cleared out by the city, were lots of cars were getting stuck. Highly recommend!
