Brand new, car had Perelli's and my balance guy could not get them fully balanced, even using road force balance. So I bought a pair of Michelin Pilot Sport 275/40 19's for the rear. Wow, what a difference. Less vibration and better traction. So, I bought a pair of 255's for the front (anything larger would not fit) and the difference was complete. Almost no vibration and a smoother drive. They seem to stick like glue especially after warm up. Even my wife noticed the difference. It was worth the $2,000 +. I sold the Perrelli's with 5,000 and 10,000 kms on them for $100 just to get them out of my garage! My balance guy was also happy.

The tires them selves were great. Very quite compaired with the Pirelli P Zero run flats that I had previously. Traction in all conditions was very good, even during extreme downpours at highway speeds. The bad, is the cost vs life of the tires. 2 summer seasons and the rears were past the wear markers. I beleive there are other tires that cost less and last longer, with similar performace. If budget is not a consideration then these tires are awsome.

I like these tires. I have Michelin Super Sports before and switched to Pilot 4S and the difference is both good and bad when comparing to the Super Sport. Smooth, quiet ride on the + side. On the - side, the car feel 600lbs heavier. So much rooling resistance that I’m stalling the car on take-off. Wet handling is epic. Dry is excellent as well. Overall a good compromise tire.
