Overview
The new Pirelli Ice Zero FR tire has been developed in order to meet the high demands of real winter conditions. This tire offers improved traction and braking on ice. It also features maximized traction on all surfaces thanks to its 3D sipes “butterfly design” on all tread patterns. Characteristics:
- Increased traction and braking on ice: more « compact » shoulder area to increase ice grip
- High level of snow safety: more “empty” central area with higher sipe density to increase snow grip
- Introduction of 3D sipes “butterfly design” on all tread patterns: the 3D butterfly sipe “opens” in snow traction to retain snow and increase grip. High-density 3D sipe technology improves braking performance and snow-to-snow traction.
- Maximized traction in all winter conditions
- High level of lateral stability for improved handling also at higher speed
- Regular pressure distribution for continuous grip and reduced “peak pressure” on pattern
- Improved traction and braking on ice: bigger footprint area than the Winter IceControl for continuous grip and reduced “peak pressure” on pattern

Add a reviewBought these last winter for my Tiguan as the VW dealership recommended these for VW’s but quattrotires has much better prices. These tires do not dissapoint! Outstanding grip compared to continental TS winter tires I have tried. They do wear quickly though but are amazing in the snow and ice.

Excellent pneu sur notre minivan. Le pneu est rigide sans l'être trop et tient vraiment la route. Il ne fond pas a vue d'œil, déjà 5 ans mais a un faible kilométrage. J'aime beaucoup son adhérence, il répond très bien aux intempéries. Je le recommande énormément.

Je suis plus qu’agréablement surpris par la traction de ces pneus et la douceur de roulement. Bien que j’ai une traction Quattro et les variances de temperature en milieu urbain, je crois que ces pneus font toute la difference, que ce soit avec la glace noir, la gadoue, la neige accumulée, fond glacé.
